Assignment: Creative thinking exercises
1. Introduction: Taught earlier…Since the time of Dolly the cloned sheep, research geneticists have been exploring the areas of genes, cells, DNA, Genome Identification schemes, and something called stem cells. These are those embryonic cells that have not yet affected by the process of division of labor. They are immature cells that may be “coaxed” into becoming they type of cell they join! There are many issues surrounding so-called stem cell research.
Identify the ethical issues surrounding stem cell research from your perspective…
What might be the difference in viewpoints from a medical doctor, a catholic priest, and a person who has recently suffered a spinal cord injury?
2. The concept of perspective in composing a picture… Select a single object and take a series of photos. As an example; take a series of 12 photos of the 357 buntline, Ivers-Johnson, revolver. Demonstrate how you might “personalize” your print by experimenting with perspective.
